David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the company said: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding allegations of questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The company did not confirm the reasons for its decision, noting: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books in total, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
